Light Year is a set of three jazz tunes and three solo drum set sections. It operates like an album and takes its inspiration from the concept of duende, “Spanish term for a heightened state of emotion, expression and authenticity; El duende is the spirit of evocation. It comes from inside as a physical/emotional response to art. It is what gives you chills, makes you smile or cry as a bodily reaction to an artistic performance that is particularly expressive.” It had been later developed into the aesthetics by Federico Garcia Lorca, in arts and music.
